EIGHTEENTH SUNDAY
IN ORDINARY TIME
They all ate and were satisfied, and they picked up the fragments left over twelve wicker baskets full. Those who ate were about five thousand men, not counting women and children.
Fr. Emmanuel Fenelus - Visa Information
Fr. Emmanuel Fenelus’s visa renewal application has been approved. Fr. Emmanuel will continue his ministry in our pastorate with no interruption. Thank you for your prayers and efforts on behalf of Fr. Emmanuel. He is deeply grateful. We also wish to acknowledge Representative Hinson’s office for their advocacy over the past several months. We are pleased to announce that Fr. Jangill Maime and Fr. Stephen Audu, who has been awaiting visa renewal since February, also received visa renewal.

From Fr. Neil Meet Somebody New Yet?
I hope you have! With our new pastorate schedule, people will certainly be trying new options for Sunday Mass. Our pastorate now includes eight parishes. See the heading on this Sunday bulletin. Plan to see new people in ministries at Mass too. Enjoy meeting new people! By the way, if you haven’t met someone new, it might be time to sit in a different location in church. They will certainly enjoy meeting you too!
Weekday Mass - People are finding their way to various places for daily Mass. The first Thursday I was at St. Isidore the Farmer, the regular weekday Mass goers there saw the number at Mass double. That was great to see. I was grateful to see fellowship time after Mass. St. Isidore, you made us feel really welcome (the zucchini bread was delicious too!)
Great News for Us and Fr. Emmanuel - With his visa now approved, Fr. Emmanuel will be remaining in the North Cedar Rapids pastorate. We can be so grateful for that! There are a total of five priests on our pastorate team: Fr. Jim Brokman, Fr. Jake Dunne, Fr. Jim Goerend, Fr. Emmanuel Fenelus and me, Fr. Neil. Coffee after Masses is a great way to meet us. We are trying extra hard to be available after Masses and other gatherings. We look forward to meeting you! Don’t be shy. Sure it will take a while to get to know one another, but we look forward to serving as your priests.
Adoration
Our Adoration time will be on Thursdays from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM until we can find ministers to fill the 7 to 8 PM hour. We need at least 2 adorers for that hour. If you can help fill that time, please contact Mary Lang at 319-551-6110.

The apostolate is a call to strengthen the Church by ensuring that a Holy Hour is prayed each day of the week for the sole intention of a specific priest. Each woman prays a Holy Hour on a distinct day of the week, thus covering a complete week. The prayer is done at a time of your choice.

Xavier Catholic Schools (XCS) Maintenance & Custodial Team Members Needed!
XCS is seeking Maintenance and Custodial Team Members to support our schools and facilities throughout the Cedar Rapids and Marion area by ensuring our buildings are safe and welcoming for our students, staff and visitors. Responsibilities may include general cleaning, building maintenance, event setup, grounds upkeep, and minor repairs. Full and part-time opportunities available.
